Great value, comfortable room and beds, tasty Scottish breakfast, very friendly and welcoming staff. Also enjoyed watching the small garden birds on the birdfeeders. We loved our stay here

Spa was excellent and complimentary, Breakfast was very nice and the settings in the bar and restaurant we very nice. Staff seemed very helpful and professional looking (dress code)

The building looked quite tired, especially as my room overlooked the grotty looking roof. The single bed I was in wasn't particularly comfortable (quite hard). The food in the restaurant and drink in the bar were outrageously expensive ( I went elsewhere locally for my evening meal )

A little bit noisy due to the council doing work outside the hotel but it was still a lovely stay.

The hosts work very hard, long hours and are hospitable.

The room was disgustingly dirty. The doors were filthy, dead bugs, spider webs covered in dust in the bedroom, it smelled, the toilet roll holder was rusted courtesy of urine. There was no blackouts on the windows, the room was VERY noisy despite being one of the cottages. The fact that it was desperately in need of updating can be forgiven, the dirt however I couldn’t excuse. They desperately need new cleaners who CLEAN not just prepare a room/tidy ready for new guests. The location was also much further away from the venue than booking said it was, there are few taxis and we were told we should have booked a week in advance by the host (after the fact), as a consequence, our minivan driver charged us (5 of us) £20 each to travel 10 miles (that was supposed to be 3km). Avoid if you’re going to one of the wedding venues!!

The room was clean and tidy

We didn't need a large room so we went for the cosy room which was fine. The bathroom was tiny but the shower was the problem it was so small you couldn't shower properly. It was all clean and tidy, just way to small. But to size up to the next size room is to expensive for a couple of nights away

Location was decent

Staff were rude. Dismissive when raised concerns. Room was grubby and tired. Asked for family room, was given a 8m2 prison cell with a caravan sized bed. Needless to say, we left after an hour and found another hotel.
