Lovely friendly welcome from Kim, our host. The room was cosy, nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. They very kindly allowed us to leave our car earlier in the day, a great bonus in Harrogate! We actually stayed in the Camberley next door, but its all part of the same business. We had room only, so can't comment on the breakfast. This hotel is very well located, an easy walk to everything Harrogate has to offer. Kim suggested a local Indian restaurant, The Shalimar, which was excellent. We would definitely stay here again.

Extremely convenient location for Victoria Theatre in Woking. Queen bed was comfortable and room a reasonable size. Useful full-length mirrors, decent desk size and great to have a big surface around the bathroom sink to put our toiletries (this last feature is surprisingly absent from many hotel bathrooms). Despite the £15 a day charge, it was useful that there was hotel parking. If you came by train very close to the railway station.

Smell in bathroom, like a damp towel, although the towels, shower curtain and bathroom overall were clean and did not smell. Might have been the bath or sink drain if the room had been unused for a while. Annoying that only one side of the bed had plugs as we both had phones to charge and like to have them on our own the bedside table.

Room was spacious, comfortable bed, very clean, nice soap and shower gel. Lovely building on the towns square. Really nice food in the restaurant in the evening. Staff friendly on the whole.

Cooked breakfast was ok, but nowhere near as good as evening food. The milk was a bit on the turn, but apparently fresh in that morning.

* no way of locking my room door from inside (no snick, or chain) - so didn't feel very safe as single woman travelling alone (and hotel seemed to be mostly for contractors/working men) * no hair dryer (the one time I didn't bother taking one!), so a bit frustrating when I wanted to wash my hair - good job I checked before I got in the shower!

It is a grand building but it is a little dated. Could do with refurbishing but if that sort of thing does not bother you then it is fine.
