The apartment was very tastefully furnished, and had everything you could wish for. Obviously a lot of thought has been made by the owners and made for an excellent stay! The whole apartment was spotless. The beds were very comfortable and bedding was good quality. Kitchen was well equipped and well stocked! The location is excellent, with a village store where we could buy fresh pastries and supplies. Over the road is a good pub, the food was very tasty and the staff friendly. Would love to stay again, really a home from home! Many thanks to Ivana for the good communication too!

Fabulous, central location. I’ve stayed before and each room is different but equally good. This room is on the 3rd floor. By the end of a weekend carrying a piano accordion up and down 56 steps over the 3 days of the Jack in the Green festival, my legs felt super strong! Lovely view of rooftops with seagulls and pigeons visiting. I phoned twice to check that there was water as I kept hearing newsabout the massive water outage in Hastings affecting 31000 homes. Lastly the owner rang the tap to reassure me 😂

Beautiful location. Extremely dog friendly which made traveling with my dog so much more enjoyable and they never charge extra for dogs either. The building had so much character and everyone in there were very friendly

Only thing that lets it down would be the bed as the mattress felt well used and uncomfortable. It had a dip in the actual mattress from the use it of people sleeping in it. Another not so great downside was the stairs to the rooms as they are very steep and awkward especially going up with a bag

The location was perfect for us as we were heading to the ferry port which was a few minutes away in the car. Angus was always available if we needed to ask anything.

Be careful if you are travelling for work - although my room included breakfast, they do not start serving until 0830. Obviously there was no refund for the missed breakfast!

Room and bathroom too small so not good value for money. Restaurant food was extremely bland. After being seated for dinner, we had to wait a long time (about 20 mins) before the waiter came to take our order (after I finally drew his attention). Breakfast terrible and not worth the money - the scrambled eggs were awful and looked/felt/tasted as if they were made out of anything but eggs! Why not serve real fried or scrambled eggs!? A disappointing experience and I wouldn't go back for sure

It was not the apartment I booked due to a last minute change by provider. We had booked and paid for a 3 bedroom apartment and were given a 2 bedroom apartment instead the day before, when it was too late to find a viable 3-bedroom alternative. When I suggested it was not equivalent, the only answer was it was all that was available and it was considered a reasonable alternative by the provider because the location was better in their view and it normally rented for slightly more than the one we booked - interesting but not relevant given my key requirement was for 3 bedrooms.
