We were met by the very wonderful host Peter who was very informative about the accommodation, the area and things to see and do. The food supplies that were provided were not only very welcome, but more than enough and very much appreciated. The apartment was very spacious for the 5 of us and lovely to have a small outside rear garden area to have a drink in the early evening sun. The beds were comfortable and everywhere was spotlessly clean. Very quiet despite being near the main road. We didn't travel by car but there is a very useful car park to the front of the property provided. There were fans, extra sheets/duvets & blankets (if required) a few board games and tourist leaflets all provided and a pleasant change to have more than enough toilet roll. I would definitely stay there again.

The only thing we would suggest is a king size bed would have been a better option than the double and the front bedroom could do with a blackout blind as the early morning sun does shine straight through the window.

Friendly welcome, quiet location, convenient for facilities, and for our interest in walking. The apartment was well organised and very clean. It was comfortably warm.

Nothing, really. The kitchen facilities were a little limited but perfectly adequate for rustling up simple meals.

An excellent hotel right across the road from the RSC theatre. A lovely room with a great bed and shower. Breakfast was also very good and the staff are great.

Just a few minor things :- -3 days out of 5 I think couldn't park outside the house, it's street parking only - upon arrival there were no towels for the downstairs bedroom/bathroom, had to message upon arrival - no coffee, sugar or welcome biscuits as described in the advert. Only one sachet of hot chocolate. - only one toilet roll in the bathrooms so take a supply if staying a few days or more - two seater sofa is positioned under the stairs needs pulling out for use - microwave was in a low level cupboard not ideal for getting food in & out. We ended up placing it on the work surface top - soap, shampoo, conditioner, shower cream dispensers advertised were mostly empty so take your own supplies.

I have stayed here a couple of times before and it has a good atmosphere.

Just one one occasion when nightime quiet hours did not seem to be enforced on a couple of very noisy guests.

My misunderstanding of the breakfast times could have been better handled by the general Manager, who was stressed and impatient.
Positive section of review
The fact that we were only there for one night

Confusion over the correct address when we arrived, fortunately we weren't too far away - we'd been given the wrong address. The property has not been cleaned properly. Under the beds was filthy. Money left on the lounge floor showed it hadn't been cleaned. There wwas mold in the kitchen and the bathroom. The washing machine was particularly bad. The front door had broken glass. The bathroom tap wobbled and only a trickle of water came out. There was a plug in air freshener that had run dry but was still switched on. The shower didn't work and kept tripping the fuse when you tried to switch it on. The pull cord was actually taped to the ceiling! Defintitely a fire hazard. The property smelled of smoke. There was food left in the oven from previous occupants. The room with bunk beds had a door which could not be closed because the beds were too big. 2 TVs, one on the floor, one on a stand. The one on the stand didn't work. Somebody had to come to swap them over. No towels or toilet paper - we had to go out to buy some. No offer to compensate for this
