The staff were all friendly and very professional, the room was albeit up two flights of stairs nevertheless roomy and had excellent views over the rear gardens, the bathroom was a good size and well equipped. The bed was large and very comfortable. We had a full english breakfast and this was very good as were the various cereals and pastries which were also on offer. All in all we had an excellent stay and would gladly stay there again.

Room was nice - equipped with nice towels, toiletries and tea/coffee. Bed was comfy but the room above ours had very creaky floorboards which kept us awake as the occupants seemed to walk around a lot during the evening and night hours. Otherwise everything was ok. Breakfast was nice - good selection as was the evening meal. Plenty of parking available and good WiFi.

Location, close to the ferry terminal, was excellent. The hotel was busy so we were unable to get anything to eat or drink when we arrived. Breakfast was satisfactory. The room was clean and tidy, but very noisy throughout the night, with people outside in the street.

Stayed here few times, the only place we can stay because it’s all ground floor which is ideal for my disabled child. Everything was clean and convenient. The owner always leaves a special treat for my kids which is really nice of her.

Maybe update the blinds because my kids found it very difficult to sleep as the day light comes through. Which ISN’T the house owners fault.

Although a stunning building, our room was a little tired. The toilet handle snapped in my hand and the jacuzzi feature did not work. We paid an extra £20 for a late checkout but an hour before cleaners were banging on our door. I was in the bath and my partner asleep so I had to answer the door in a towel and explain about the late checkout, which made me feel a little uncomfortable.

No notices in rooms telling where escape routes are; rubbish/cleaner equipment blocking fire exit on second floor. I told reception on my first day, and blockage was removed. But rubbish sacks and equipment had gone back to blocking fire exits - ILLEGAL. Not sure either if fire sensor in my room (41) works, no flashing light to indicate that it is alive. THIS MUST BE SORTED AND ENFORCED.

Extensive cost factor, additional costs init necessary Service was slow at drink/eat bar. Twice had to chase up our orders.
