A relaxed and friendly hotel with nice staff and great facilities. Perfect location on the River Cam within easy walking distance to the heart of the City. Recently refurbished garden area in a truly idyllic setting. Rooms are cosy and characterful with very comfortable beds. Garden House Restaurant Manager is charming. Staff go out of their way to really look after guests.

Not possible to order food after 9.30pm. Expensive bar as expected. Ambient lighting in some areas of the hotel could be improved, without the benefit of sunny evenings it's rather dark inside.

By the time we reached Hamilton House we had been in Scotland for 2.5 week. Hamilton House was only guest house that provided glass glasses we could use for wine. It was also the only one that provided body lotion for after shower moisturizing and the only place that provided bathroom spray! The host was just the sweetest man.

It's a bit outdated but that never matters to us. Lovely bedding and good bed. It would have been nice to have been able to get even a continental breakfast.

The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. A good choice of breakfast which was well cooked. Dinner was particularly tasty. The staff were very helpful and efficient.

When I initially arrived the door was locked and I had to wait for a staff member to start the shift to be able to check in at 23 hrs not ideal. Felt rooms were too warm.

We were told breakfast wasnt included in the price but if we had wanted breakfast we could order the night before at £15 each. Or pay as you go, but we're told that would prob work out more expensive. Why can't you decide on the morning if you want to pay the £15 rather than night before, as you don't necessarily know if you want full breakfast. The property met our expectations apart from this and felt for the cost of the room breakfast should have been included.
