Hotel smells amazing when you walk in. The reception team upgraded me to a room with an amazing view which I was so grateful for. The reception team are always so good and welcoming. Beds are sooo comfortable! It’s my go to hotel when I am in London!

The sink are in the bathroom was very small. You could hear the people in the room above moving around.

Absolutely beautiful property. Spotlessly clean with the most comfy beds. Loved the little outside sitting area for my morning coffee.

The stay wasn’t as good as usual. Breakfast on the second morning opened with the two of us being asked for our room “numbers”. As two gay men we have stayed at this property at least six times and this felt clumsy, awkward and a bit old-fashioned for 2024. A couple of mistakes at breakfast - both brought tea instead of one tea and coffee and then second pot of coffee request was forgotten. Not big things in the overall scheme of things but for over £200 per night, attention to detail and knowing your repeat customers is important if you’re going to position yourself in that segment of the market.

The building is stunning, the location is beautiful

The layout of the room was ridiculous, the cables from the bedside lamps were plugged in a few feet away from the bed, meaning we had to get out of bed to turn them off, so pointless really. The kettle was plugged in in such a way that the kettle wouldn’t sit flat on it and the little table it sat on was practically on the floor so we had to sit on the floor to make a coffee. The toilet flush handle was snapped meaning we couldn’t flush the toilet, I shouldn’t have to lift the cistern to flush a toilet in a high end hotel!!! The bed, was two singles pushed together, meaning that if either of us moved we ended up in the gap between the two. Breakfast the next day was tasty but the portion size for the price wasn’t justified. I emailed the hotel and gave them 48 to respond, but heard nothing in reply. I paid for a deluxe double for our wedding night and this was so far from deluxe.

The young lady in the bar was disinterested and a but sullen. The price for the room was £3 more than I was quoted on Booking.com.
