Value for money for an overnight with the family, rooms are very basic but clean and staff were nice.

The food and the service for the food. We were the only people dining at the time and we waited 45 mins for our starters, which one of which was a plate of melon so no cooking involved. Our mains were barely edible my sons mash potato was frozen mash and had gone hard by the time he came to eat it, my daughters burger was very salty and received half a dozen chips, my macaroni tasted like it was out of a can , my husbands steak pie was not nice and meat fatty, we were £120 for our food bill including a bottle of wine. Having had our wedding here 6 years ago the food was outstanding but standards and produce have gone way downhill and i kind of wish we hadn't returned and just let the good memory last.

My room looked out to Central Station, and unfortunately, the noise from the trains was loud. However, I was only there one night, so I didn't worry me too much.
