Location is perfect as it is right next to Dundee train station. Staff are always lovely and accommodating. I did not have the breakfast this time around but when I stayed here the first time I got the breakfast and it was nice.

I feel it was a bit pricier to book this time but I understand that with it being a weekend hotels tend to bump up the prices. I stayed in a small double room and it asked me if I wanted to upgrade to a superior double room for a 'view'. It's Dundee so everywhere kind of has a view so didn't see the need for the prompt to upgrade for more money.

Lovely room, with great bathroom, in fine old building. I had family room to myself as it was only one still available but price was very fair considering that. Location ideal for me.

This hotel had changed hands only days before my visit so it's probably a bit unfair to criticise before new owners have had chance to do much but I would have liked some chair or stool at breakfast bar so there was somewhere to sit other than on bed and a bit of crockery and cutlery to use with the microwave oven provided would be good.

Room was spotless, bed was comfy, bathroom and shower was excellent. Staff were extremely accommodating, pleasant and helpful. Thanks.

Breakfast, although enjoyable and nice, was a little on the expensive side. I’d expect a full English priced at over £12 to be of exceptional quality and a generous portion, but these expectations weren’t reflected in the price in my opinion.

Nice for a couple of nights, offering free WiFi and a communal kitchen. Bed was ok but certainly no Travelodge.

The photos you see are exactly what you’ll get. No Tv but to be expected as it’s actually student accommodation during term. Nevertheless unless you’ve got a modern phone you’ll be stuck for something to do at night. One pillow per person but probably could have got another two if I had asked as I did see other travellers return from reception with extra pillows. The bathroom door was kept closed as much as possible and I did ask reception to give the bathroom the once over with bleach because there was strong smell of urine emanating from there. Sadly it never got cleaned.

The bed was comfy and the bathroom was nice and modern. I felt very welcomed by the staff

The shower drain might need looking at as the water level rose quickly and I had to fiddle with the drain to make the water drain. Sadly, upon arrival I found there was some leftover food in the fridge from the previous guest. Before arrival I had inquired about getting an iron in the room, but sadly, on the day I arrived I was told there was no irons available. I had also asked for a hairdrier, and one was promised, but it never arrived.
