Location, just round corner from tube. Very modern. Very welcoming, helpful and professional staff. Beds very comfy, well stocked hospitality tray. Nice shower room with complimentary products and plenty of rooms for toilet bags etc..

Breakfast buffet area was quite small which was very cramped and difficult to move and select food. Could do with making it larger. Breakfast choice was very good. Maybe serve tea and coffee at tables to help ease some congestion?

Sadly the room (23) is tired and 'passably' clean (excess dust behind the bed on floor and marks to walls) The bathroom, whilst cleaned, requires a thorough overhaul of the grouting around bath/shower screen and skirting. Breakfast in a carrier bag is 'acceptable' but very basic. I admit to losing the room key. I accept it needs replacing. A bill of £25 is extortionate for a standard yale style key on a fob. As an accommodation provider in the hospitality industry, I appreciate that keys do get lost. I charge for the cost of replacement - which is £12.50. Our guest information pack makes it clear that a lost key will be charged for. There is NOWHERE in the reception or in the Hotel T&C which declares this cost - Hello Hotel have simply made up a number and this is unacceptable.

My room was windowless and while I knew that when I booked it, the room was tiny and with no natural light, it feels a little claustrophobic.

The apartment was up a treacherously steep and narrow flight of stairs. I struggled to safely transport my luggage and nearly fell twice. There was incredible noise throughout the night, people banging doors and shouting. The corridor stank of cannabis. There was no soap at all in the shower room. The kettle was filthy inside. I had to clean it before being able to use it. The bed and pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable and the sheets were covered in bits. There was a disgusting smell, like drains, that drifted through the apartment. The biggest issue was that none of the keys that had been left in the key safe for the apartment opened the front door. Upon returning from work at 10.15 pm Saturday night, the front door was shut and none of the keys fitted the lock. I was stranded outside, with drunks and weed smokers passing by, making comments, as a solo woman for over 45 minutes. I rang the owner repeatedly and left voice and text messages, to no avail. In the end, I had no choice but to bang on the door and ring the other apartment intercoms to see if anyone could let me in. I've since messaged and tried to ring the owner to complain but had no response at all. I've taken videos to prove that the keys I were given were totally incorrect for the front door. If someone hadn't let me in, I'd have been stranded outside all night. Disgusting. I'm reporting this property owner to Booking.com and demanding my money back.
