The hotel is located in a beautiful elevated point, looking out over the sea. Stunning views. The food is first class. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices. Loved the attention to detail. Tablecloths and table service. Rooms are very spacious, and with tea/coffee. Room was in annexe and had a terrace with table and chairs. Nothing not to like.

If you have mobility problems, then you may struggle a bit as there are a few stairs. I do believe there are more accessible rooms, but the hotel is a bit away from the harbour area as you would need to drive down if you had walking difficulties.

Good efficient check in process by welcoming staff. Shown to room and facilities explained. Good sized quiet room at the back of the hotel. Good breakfast. B&B deal was excellent value.

Parking facilities for car with bike trailer (or similar) could be better. Parked at back of hotel but access is tight.

This is the bargain to end all bargains. The hotel rooms while small are clean and functional. The bar is open until 2am and breakfast was really nice if a little expensive

The red lion has always been a bit special to me as I worked there as a boy over forty years ago so it was extra special to actually staying there .

It’s a bit outdated compared to other village hotels and I’ve stay in most of them. The noise is terrible I didn’t realise it was on the landing flight path so didn’t get much sleep with the noise
