The staff were friendly and welcoming. It is a lovely old listed building with great character. The rooms were clean and more spacious than expected. Decoration was good and in character with the building yet had all the modern facilities and an excellent ensuite bathroom. Our group had 3 of the 4 rooms at the property and all were of an equal standard. The breakfast was very good with a wide choice and we also ate in the restaurant one night and that was also excellent.

Good base for travelling around the local area. Great to have a selection of beach toys, games and picnic chairs for families. Well equipped with everything you could need, including spare light bulbs, fist aid kit and sewing kit.

I had to scrub the grill rack to remove burnt on food before I could use it. It had just been left dirty and covered in clean foil. I also had to wash the mugs which were tea stained before I could use them. Double bed almost on the ground, very difficult for anyone with mobility issues.

Excellent location and lovely, clean and comfortable apartments with well kitted out kitchens. Communication from Hiding Space was great and they answered all of my questions promptly.

Whilst the property was well kitted-out it would have been useful to have a kitchen sponge to wash up with rather than just a brush. Spare bin bags would also have been helpful. Carpeting on communal stair areas was very dirty and needed a clean.

Having come straight from the airport from Australia with 2 large suitcases and bags, we were directed to probably the smallest room in the property, small enough that on entering the room the door banged against the metal wardrobe! On our last day, we saw other rooms being cleaned that were so much bigger. Other comments included: - Room was constantly cold, radiator very noisy and didn’t heat up - Bathroom sink partially blocked and didn’t drain - Badly placed tea/coffee station meaning you had to bend down to make drinks; no space - Glasses filthy in the bar - Overall the basics just weren’t there, eg. not enough milk, teabags, food not ready on b/fast table, etc We booked a couple of months out and at nearly £450 for 3 nights, it was certainly not value for money.

Access to parking is tight! Some repainting had begun but is slapdash - wall hangings had not been removed, just painted around, paint had not been removed from sockets and wood-finishes, looks like little care had been taken. Alcoves had been missed etc. Not a good look. Areas of mould had not been addressed effectively - hanging a mirror or picture in attempt to cover is not a healthy idea. We left a list of observations & suggestions to assist housekeeper.

Could have provided regular coffee sachets on arrival and a new set in the morning breakfast hamper. Used the coffee on arrival and had none for the morning
