Staff was great upon check in - the room wasn't quite ready so they gave me a Diet Coke to sip at the bar while waiting, which was very considerate after a long workday! It only took a few minutes to get into the room. Everything was very clean and cosy, very comfortable bed, and lots of lighting options for reading and such. I was only there for one night so didn't turn on the TV but I believe they had Sky (always a bonus). Also, good biscuit selection with the tea in the room. Breakfast room was lovely, I had toast and tea but they were offering cooked breakfast as well. Very friendly service.

My only small complaint is that one of the guests adjacent to my room was up early and stomping around. Due to the property being older (as will mostly be the case in the UK), the floors are a bit squeaky and that woke me up earlier than I would have liked. Overall, I still preferred the Castle Inn experience to a more modern, sterile, super quiet hotel room.

Location was handy straight off the M1. Staff were lovely. Handy Mcdonalds nearby and plenty of parking.

Very noisy unloading vans from around 7:40 in the morning. Saw the reviews but didn't think it would be as loud or be going as long as it was. Bathroom towel had a ripped hole in it which again, given the cost I wasn't expecting anything fancy but it wasn't nice. Paid £50, didn't expect a lot but £50 seemed a lot for ripped towel and being woken up by crates crashing and lorries reversing early.

The staff were very nice and helpful. The room was very nice. The beds were very comfortable.

If you were staying let's say for more than a few days, which we didn't. Prehaps a wardrobe would be good. So you could shut your clothes away. But maybe they do have rooms like that for people who stay longer.?
