Beautiful location right on the bay. Excellent staff on reception and serving in restaurant, polite and helpful. House keeping good. Lovely breakfast each morning with plenty of choice and a good choice of evening meals. Very prompt service in restaurant.

Shower pressure was low but that's comparing it with our shower at home. A written menu would be helpful for what options are available for the cooked breakfast.

The bedrooms were large and comfortable. The bed was lovely and clean. The bathrooms were lovely and the decor was really well done. The curtains need to be amended to cover the entire window as they let in light on both sides.

Breakfast was very poor and very expensive for what it was. Self service tea and coffee is not acceptable for 15 pounds. The pastries didn't taste fresh and the orange juice was from a carton. The room wasn't very pleasant to eat in and it wasn't very clean.

A wonderful property, excellent service, very nice location, exceptional dinner. The suite we booked had a pleasant surprise for us, which I will not disclose, because you have to experience the „wow“ effect for yourselves!

I was served just toast for the breakfast as I was told there was no vegetarian option ( hash brown/ veg. sausage etc). It is very disappointing for the price I paid for the breakfast in advance on the day before.

The accommodation was good but the access was extremely poor. It should be noted on the booking form that the property is unsuitable for disabled people / people with access challenges.

Contrary to what the owner states, the property is inaccessible by car from Union Street. The instructions suggest you can park one car in front of the property and said that the street is narrow and bumpy but 'doable'. I have a very small car and the warning is not strong enough. The property is situated at the top of an extremely steep (I in 4?) winding hill and it is impossible to turn around at the top, meaning that you have to reverse down a long, very steep, and winding unmade lane to get out. At the bottom you then have to reverse onto a blind bend on a busy main road. Because of the blind bend, it is also impossible to see just how difficult access is before you commit to going up Union Street. I only got down thanks to a very kind person who reversed my car for me. The car's clutch smelled of burning going up and down, and the exhaust was also in danger of damage. This could prove to be a very costly stay if my car is damaged.

Confused when the address on Booking.com says 33 Haystacks, that is where you collect the keys from, the accommodation is actually 35 Haystacks above the steak house. It was on the 3rd floor, the lift was out of order, due to refurbishment, this was not mentioned at all on the listing. This meant a 70, yes i counted them, step hike each time. Lucky for me i am healthy and fit but for others this would have easily been a show stopper. The door to the apartment looks to have been forced a number of times. The only working lock was flimsy and could easily be opened with a plastic card so not very secure. there was no dead lock key that fitted the additional lock. There was a key but it didn't fit. The area was noisy till about midnight and there was only standard double glazing. I had to fiddle with the left window catch to get it to close, someone with out DIY knowledge would have struggled to get it closed. The living room blinds could not be closed at all and the mass of street light advertising boards ensured the apartment was well lit at all times. I had to ask for additional toilet rolls as only 2 small part used ones where provided. The bed, though appeared clean, did not have a mattress protector on and the sheet barely covered the mattress. Shower drain cover is broken and if the cover is over it will cause the water to stay in the tray and not go down the trap. The floor is a bit tatty in places from a poor repair i suspect. It is generally worn with lots of empty boxes in cupboards
