The breakfast was excellent, we had healthy options to start with and a cooked breakfast that was beautifully cooked - the portion sizes were just right and we were offered plenty of toast/tea/coffee refills. The location of Dunmurray lodge was convenient for shopping and access to the railway station, yet slightly removed from the bustle of traffic, offering delightful views of the township and hills beyond. Our hosts Lorraine and Mike went out of their way to help us with any request we made of them - we’d definitely like to revisit this property.

I would have liked to have had either a little fridge in the room/thermos for cold milk - only because my knees were complaining about using the stairs (I overdid the hiking the day before…) Lorraine readily offered to provide fresh milk, once I’d raised this issue with her.

Didn`t Book a sea view room at the time of booking as it was the last double available at the short time frame but was more then surprised when one was allocated to us when arriving What a superb outlook we were more then pleasantly pleased with our stay and the rooms at Wetherspoons Hotels are always roomy and adequate and always fit for purpose Well done Booking.com and Tim Martin !!! One more comment about the bathroom and that is how good the shower pressure was !!!

Only one disappointment which is nobodies fault and nothing to do with the booking and that was an electrical fault in the kitchen which made the otherwise Superb Wetherspoons breakfast unavailable So Sorry !!!

The room was beautiful,a brilliant view of the pitch and Tower.The food in the restaurant was Excellent,and The buffet breakfast was Brilliant.All The Staff are Excellent very friendly and very Helpful.They can’t do Enough for you.The Bed was so comfortable.And The Football Match was Excellent,A Brilliant Win.Cant wait to stay Again.

The dinner in the restaurant was really poor. We were the only 2 in the restaurant but the main course took 45 minutes. The chicken dish was cold when served and we didnt eat it but nobody asked if our meal was OK. Shame

My colleague locked the room from the inside and I was unable to access my room at 2.30am. The staff could not gain access to the room despite the fact that the room was in my name and I had to book a room in another hotel at 2.30am in the morning as the Ibis would not allow me to book a room.
