As we were travelling with our dogs the duty manager didn't give anyone else rooms on the ground floor, which we were on, in order to not disturb them during the night. There was an event on at the local arena so it was expected there would be a large number of people moving around late at night. This was exceptional service as we had not expected this. Breakfast was lovely and the rooms was spacious and comfortable. Highly recommend.

The beds were extremely comfortable and we liked having two decent chairs in the room. The breakfast was exceptional with only the best ingredients used and perfectly cooked. Choice of menu really good and we could customise if we had wanted. Service brilliant. The proprietors were extremely welcoming and efficient. The location was perfect for our visit to nearby Ham Wall.

Only slight disappointment was that we hadn't realised that it wasn't set in it's own grounds as we had imagined but the parking was separated from the road by a good thick high hedge so it negated this a little.

The house was lovely and cosy with plenty of room for us all. The beds and bed linen were really comfortable and the showers were hot and powerful. The Kitchen was cosy and had everything we needed and the utility was great for our boots and jackets after walking. The views were incredible and we enjoyed watching the lambs in the field over the road.

Some areas could have been a little cleaner and there was very little toilet roll and no soap or bath gel. It would have been nice to have a small welcome pack - tea, coffee etc and a few biscuits. There was no instructions for the hob which was annoying as couldn’t get it on at first. The aga was not on high enough to use for cooking.

Lovely, cosy place to stay. Owner, very pleasant and accommodating. Car parking facility. The room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious, all cooked fresh. This is my second time staying at Gordon House, and I would highly recommend it, especially if you're going to a show at the Tivoli theatre as it's very close by.

Excellent value for money. Located close to the City centre. On a main bus route. Directly opposite Tesco open 6am to 12 midnight. Easy check in/out.
