The staff the House keeper looked after us when we wanted to change the room as we found a double bed little small but it was all good after the change. All the hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating great place to stay.

Loved the gardens and the relaxed setting. They also allowed us early check in as my son was a little ill. Beds were very comfortable, reception staff were very helpful and happy. The restaurant staff were also lovely.

Tried to call room service a few times but didn't get through. No biggy, they were probably busy and eventually we had some very delicious food delivered to the room that was also reasonably priced.

I asked three times for a replacement for the broken hair dryer. Never got one. The shower is shockingly useless. Water temperature is poorly controlled and I got scalded by what felt like near boiling water twice. The soap and shampoo dispensers didn't work. In four days, the room wasn't cleaned or serviced once. That is unacceptable. The room was very noisy. Too many doors slamming and people talking loudly in the corridor. It's an old, shabby and poorly insulated hotel. Breakfast food selection is good but the restaurant is disorganised. No cutlery on most tables most mornings. The single coffee machine is insufficient when the restaurant is busy
