      The breakfasts were excellent. The variety leaves no-one disappointed. The price at £15 was excellent value. The hotels proximity to the Beamish Museum Park is the best in the area.

      The bed frame had ornamental corners which stuck outward and cracked shins! A couple of cushions placed at the corners solved the problem.

      Only had a short overnight stay .....but our room was clean and comfortable. particularly enjoyed the welcome glass of prosecco!! Would definitely stay again if needed.

      The breakfast was outstanding. The room was clean and comfortable

      We had an evening meal at the hotel. We ordered from the basic daily menu. We were not told about the special meals on the blackboard. That meant we ended up with soup and burger and chips ( the wagyu burger was not available) when we would have preferred steak. All the staff were very pleasant but they were all young and when we asked a question they had to go elsewhere to get the answer.

      Initial reaction was disappointing. Entrance door to Guests rooms was rotting away along with the wooden windows in places. Entrance hall filthy and carpet on the stairs dirty. Gave a poor first impression. Staff fairly pleasant but not well trained or particularly well dressed. No self service foods set out for breakfast on the first morning. Chicken Caesar Salad sent back at evening meal as no chicken included. The chicken then offered was inedible. Cooked breakfasts poorly cooked and presented. Most inedible sausage I have ever seen! The knife would not cut it! Possibly eggs, bacon, sausage etc were cooked earlier and then re heated later! Worst cooked breakfast I have ever been presented with!
