The Staff, especially Victoria and Adam, absolutely "made" our stay by going the extra mile with service, in a genuinely gracious and friendly manner. Their hospitality and attention to detail were truly five star. They assured that memories of our 21st wedding anniversary stay at The Grand Hotel, Swansea will be treasured.

The location is great and the general friendliness of the staff always makes me go back . I stayed at the grand a little while ago and Grand , it wasn’t . I would always choose The Olx Ship from now on .

This Breakfast buffet could be better . For £17 , better quality , eggs , bacon and sausage. Also freash tomatoes, not tinned.

Very cosy cottage, a true invitation to relax. Fire was ready to be started, everything was clean, and we had everything needed to cook, even glasses of champagne to celebrate!

Unfortunately the lady who was serving on the bar made a bad first impression. Firstly I mentioned to the check in staff that I'd been to the hotel a few times before but had noticed it was under new management. Me and my friend made our way to the bar after a busy day at alton towers and leaving our town at 7am we fancied a cheeky cocktail, previously visiting there was a cocktail "the love island iced tea" it's the only place I know that sells it so had been looking forward to having one.. I asked said member of staff for the cocktail menu and noticed it was still on the menu!! Brilliant :D! Proceeded to order two of them to be told "NO ITS TUESDAY" asif to say drinking cocktails on a Tuesday is not acceptable?? She then didn't know how to make the cocktail after telling us she forced the new management to keep it on the menu as its her favourite? I found that quite strange not being able to make your favourite drink.. was just strange service overall to be honest.. I will be honest I do struggle with things like this as I am a manager of a restaurant/pub.. but if somebody was in my pub ordering drinks priced at £10 each I'd be more then happy to make them and would he disappointed in my team if they blatantly moaned about making a drink infront of a customer.. when I questioned not knowing the ingredients but being her favourite drink I got the response of "I said I like drinking them not making them" in a rude tone of voice.. not very hospitable. We would've stayed at the hotel bar/restaurant but decided to go elsewhere the night porter was lovely!! Very polite young man

Everything was perfect.. My friends suggested hot tub will take this stay to next level. And mirrors in the room will help too but not a big deal. Overall stay was fantastic this are just suggestions .

Room very well equipped but I would say a tad too small. Also, did not like the discrepancies in prices at the bar, cocktail prices were different between the advert on the counter against the price on the book price list and when paying, paid even more.. When asked, I was told it's a service charge for the employees.. I'm OK with that but why not to add those 10% straight to the price list since it's mandatory? Otherwise it should be an option for the customer to pay or not. Also, the tv kept losing connection in the bedroom, kept buffering. But apart from that, it was great and would definitely book again.

Didn't expect to be upstairs when we are group of 5 , 4 adults and a toddler when they are aware there is a toddler who could be bouncing and recieved a phone call from the reception to try not to walk about as the downstairs people complaining so i dont really think it is our fault i cant tell my little girl not to bounce around when she's got learning problems come to enjoyed the holiday not to be cautious about walking around the apartment trying not to walk so much for the people downstairs. Disappointing

Shower facilities were very poor , hardly any water pressure, limited power sockets which some were boxed in .
