The food in the restaurant was amazing, the glamping pods were very comfortable, the staff went out of their way to show us around and make sure we were happy. We brought our little dog, and they offered to look after him while we used the sauna and hot tub. The owner invited us to look at the stars through his telescope and was happy to talk to us at length.”

  This was our second time staying here, the 1st time being over a decade ago and it was just as good as it was back then. It's a beautiful hotel/prison/castle with lots of interesting history. The rooms/cells are quirky and a little creepy but spacious and comfortable. The staff are friendly and efficient, they have a wealth of helpful local knowledge and are always on hand to help. Cocktails were lovely, breakfast was tasty and plentiful. We ordered room service late at night which was really enjoyable and arrived in our room super quick.

  The price to park at the hotel is ridiculous. At £34 per night I'm glad we only stayed for one especially when the rooms are so expensive to begin with. I have a disability so I find using public transport difficult while carrying luggage. Therefore I rely heavily on my car and need to park at my destination. The lift wasn't working which again was slightly inconvenient but we were offered a room on the ground floor so it wasn't a major issue. One last thing... I know it's not the responsibility of the staff to remind guests but I think it could be asked at check in if the guests have paid the ZEZ charge (if applicable). I only realised when we got home when a friend asked how much I was charged that I'd even heard of the ZEZ. It's not a huge amount to pay in the first instance but it is if you don't realise and get fined.

  Location and accomodation where good. Cleanliness was exceptional. The only reason I didn't rate the staff higher was I had no interaction with onsite staff as only a two night stay and didn't see any or need assistance from any onsite staff. Booking was done all via emails and website

  The free wifi connection was at best poor if not totally unusable as was mobile data on phones due to the poor reception which is always a problem around hunstanton both onsite and sea front area.

  Greeting when we arrived was very welcoming. Person on reception was great. Had one breakfast - very good. Dinner was very tasty. Room was very clean and restful. Staff throughout were very pleasant. Surroundings of the hotel were very restful and relaxing.
