Amazing location- 5 minute walk from the beach, playground and cafes. Close to reception and the site entrance meaning it was easy to get out and explore. Lovely decking and furniture to enjoy the morning sunshine. Modern interior with fantastic kitchen facilities. We will most definitely be back

Ebor Lodge never fails to impress me, I always choose to stay here when I'm in Eastbourne. The hosts David and Pascal are always welcoming and knowledgeable about local events, the breakfast is exceptional.

I arrived on the Saturday midday and had an early book in and was able to get my room earlier than expected that was very welcoming, we had a friends to meet and I needed to change clothes and took out the ironing board and iron and got my shorts out to iron, when I put the iron on my bright coloured shorts all black like plastic stained my clothes and on the front of the iron was all black so I called the reception to tell them and explained I had only limited clothes with me and this had happened and they said they would send up an iron to replace this and they couldn't do anything about the clothes, I waited for an hour or more for the iron and nobody arrived so I had to go out to the cleaning lady to show her what happened and could she change my iron and she did from another room, I mentioned to the reception on my way out what had happened and that I the customer had to fix the iron problem myself and he said he will mention it to the hotel manager and they would be intouch, I waited for the 2 days for someone to contact me and nobody did, so I mentioned it on my way out Monday and was told to email the hotel with pictures of what happened. I paid €830 for 2 days in this hotel and still had to pay £30 for breakfast and had limited clothes for my trip. Yes I did book the hotel and was aware of just the bed and room was what I paid for but still not compensated for my loss and hassle on my clothes, no toilet brush in the toilets either. I have stayed in alot of hotels in Liverpool and travel to Liverpool on business also and other hotels wouldn't have ignored this before the customer left the hotel.

Small maintenance issues not attend to in my room. Safe not working and bulb out above the mirror in bathroom. Reported on arrival of a 3 night stay but still not done when we left. Also noticed, but not reported broken bottom hinge on wardrobe and waste trap of sink leaking water on to floor. The later looks like had been doing so for some time as tiles stained.

Poor facilities for people with disability. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were past their best! Food was average. Tables poorly laid for breakfast - the smallest serviette to be found, only 1 knife and flat white coffee from the machine was cold.
