This accommodation is ideal for anyone who wants to get away and relax. Ann and Ian were perfect hosts, a lovely welcome pack of homemade bread and cakes, along with milk, bacon and butter provided. The Byre is clean and cosy and quiet location, with Ticehurst village walking distance. Look forward to returning soon.

Excellent, clean and secure property, we’d travelled from Kent so it was nice that the owner had gone above and beyond to preserve a parking space on the forecourt of the property for us. Very grateful for that.

Couldn’t really fault the place, for a very small scale business, they went above and beyond for any of our needs. The breakfast although not a cooked one apart from sausages and boiled eggs was a more continental affair but it was professionally laid out and attention to detail was given. Any extra bit of advice we needed was offered and genuine. No security concerns at all for myself, my wife, my daughter and my niece.

There was a noise akin to an MRI scanner that started about 4am that made it hard to sleep.

Everything the room was dirty it hadn’t been cleaned there were cobwebs all over the wall the floor was absolutely filthy. The windows had to be propped open with a bottle of water. There was no toilet roll supplied with the room and no coffee tea or sugar supplied had to ask for it. And it says hotel and restaurant but the restaurant wasn’t open for food. It was the worse place I have ever stayed.
