  Modern facility set amongst a traditional setting. Good amenities in the room (quality iron/board, tea/coffee, bathroom products, hairdryer, etc). Quiet rooms with very little disturbance. Bedlinen was also quality. Proximity of The Garden Room to the main Hall was ideal, and the walk to the sister pub was just a couple of minutes. The room wasn't huge, but it certainly was comfortable and catered for all our needs.

  The closet didn't allow for any clothes of full height/length to be hung (only space for tops etc), and the fixed hangers meant you couldn't remove them to have the long items elsewhere around the room. The room was very warm without any heating on (clearly well insulated, which could be seen as a benefit in the winter months), and it meant we needed to open the external door to regulate.

  Lynn and Pete are lovely hosts. The surroundings is so peaceful wish we could have stayed longer. The room was good and well decorated. Amazing biscuits with kettle etc. Breakfast was perfect with great choice. Hopefully we will go back again soon

  The staircase was treacherous and the bed although comfy felt extremely claustrophobic as you had to shimmy down the bed to get out as there was no room at either side of the bed and the roof was nearly touching your face at one side
