Considering we went during half term and there was lots of families on site it was so peaceful and quiet. Its such a stunning place and staff have worked really hard (still working really hard) to make the place perfect. Everything is well thought out in terms of privacy, peace, relaxation and enjoyment. Whether going as a couple, group or family. Staff were so friendly and helpful, very welcoming. Both resturants pan asia and jacks were great, great drinks selection, amazing food selection, all food was so fresh and cooked well. I believe there is a 3rd place open in the busier seasons. We stayed for 3 nights and although weather wasnt always amazing there was still plenty of ways to enjoy the break.

I think some instructions or tips for some of the cabins wouldnt go a miss, our water and heating was switched off and took us a while to work out where and how to switch on, same with the sauna. Our bathroom door had a malfunction and wouldnt shut or lock, same with the shower door and the shower was leaking slightly but because it was just the two of us it wasnt anything to bother about. We told reception on check out and they apologised and said we shouldve said something and they wouldve come fixed it but other than that the break away and site itself was perfect. Thank you x.

The house is lovely and has off road parking and a beautiful private garden. We loved the conservatory and games room, the well equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge. There is a small supermarket and fish and chip shop across the road and the shops in Malton are only a short walk away.

Location was great, we went on a lovely walk down the road to the nature reserve. Room was ready well before check in time allowing us to check in early and get ready for the day.

The extractor in the bathroom started heavily dripping cold water all over my towel and the floor. The bed was also terribly loud and uncomfortable, every time you sat on it or moved it was creaking.

What a great find! We loved the room, breakfast and evening meal. We would definitely book this again. It was exceptional value for money and well located for the M6 lakes etc.

We were charged for parking in carpark when we checked in. There was no space out front of hotel at the time and were unaware that we were in a carpark for which we'd be charged, as boom gates were open for maintenance work.
