Well laid out. Facilities clean & well presented. Whole area family friendly but also lovely for couples. Dog friendly and welcomed with no issues. Staff were on the whole very hospitable and friendly. Hot tub was great but advise early booking. Log burner in the yurts are so effective & Camp fire was lovely too.

Surroundings and surrounding area, proximity to beach and nice restaurant fish cottage short walk. The breakfast was good and the only member of staff we encountered a young lad was more than helpful and clearly on his own.

The view of dog excrement all over yard and in bags once windows opened which bizarrely were covered in some old covering spoiling what would be a view of woods but clearly know why. Pair of pants found in bed side draw and bottle under bed along with what seemed like confetti, clearly not cleaned for who knows how long. T.v barely working only on apps but very very intermittent. Lounge area filthy. Lobby picture is from room showing lovely view of dog excrement in a supposedly luxury accommodation according to the signage.

Stayed at the ruskin hotel twice a year for six years couldn't get nicer hotel or staff entertainment last trip was excellent be lucky to get that entertainment in london

Chris and his staff were fabulous. We’re walking the Pennine Way with our dog and they went out of their way to help us. Great food and beer. We will be back.

Quite far from train station connecting to Glasgow While not dirty per se, could have been cleaner - dust on fan and stray hairs in bathroom Could hear people moving about the corridors and neighbouring rooms
