  The Volunteer Inn was well situated on the main road but no parking, although we did manage to find a free car park round the corner from the inn. The rooms were clean and comfortable, our room was a little noisy over the kitchen but we managed to muffle the noise by closing the windows. There was a fan in the room which kept the room cool. One our rooms had to share a bathroom but this did not cause too many issues, although there was an issue with the shower that didn't stay up . The lady who prepared the breakfasts was friendly and couldn't be more helpful. The breakfasts were excellent, especially the poached eggs! Would definitely stay again.

  I booked this for my elderly parents, my Dad is disabled & from the time of booking to the time they checked out the care they received was exceptional. Special mention has to go Daryl who I spoke to twice. He went above & beyond to ensure not only the room but everything was too class service.

  A word of caution. If like us you have an emergency when staying there. Do not expect any leeway from the owner regarding any refund or partial refund. My husband is terminally ill and we booked a last minute holiday here for 7 nights. Sadly we had to leave after 2 nights and he is now in hospital. After many discussions with the owner there was no offer of any refund in spite of these extenuating circumstances. Very disappointing that greed won over kindness.
