Very nice welcome and check in with Christina who went out of her way to help me. Secure storage for my bicycle was excellent and helped put any security concerns out of my mind. My room was lovely and clean, bed comfortable and shared shower was also very clean with a super hot shower with good water pressure. There is also a shared drying room which got my wet cycling gear dried overnight The whole hostel was very quiet and relaxing and is only a few minutes walk from the town centre. For people who are expecting hotel type luxuries you will be disappointed, this is a dormitory with shared rooms, for the price you cannot complain, even the Youth Hostel in Keswick was nearly twice the price of this place.

This was the first time I have used a shared dormitory, I was in a 4 bed room with 1 other guest which was a little strange but soon got used to it. I felt sorry for Ashleigh,the other guest, as I was leaving early in the morning and hoped I didn't disturb her too much when packing my stuff up, if only I had thought to do so the night before.

Was a lovely hotel within walking distance to the town so no need to drive, very nice & friendly staff, lovely breakfast & very nice room with comfortable beds, quite quiet location too

Could have had hooks for towels on bathroom door, as nowhere to put them when had shower, maybe a bit of decor tidying up

Continuous noise throughout night within hotel waking us up.. even when requested noise settled for a short time and then recommenced. Needed to request this being addressed many timed

Staff was quite rude and couldn't be bothered. Everything was overpriced for what you actually got. The "Discretionary" service surcharge of 12.5% is a joke on an already overpriced meal. The room was clean but bed was quite uncomfortable and the water in the shower took a very long time to warm up. Such a waste of water for the facility. I stayed in cheaper places with a better experience. Just not a great value for money
