  The location was perfect for access to Sidney Sussex College, where I was attending an event. The convenience of on site parking, albeit at a cost, was extremely helpful. Some of the hotel decor is a little tired but this was a very good value and convenient option for me on this occasion and I was very happy with the accommodation and helpful service

  The staff were so lovely - really went above and beyond for us, the garden was gorgeous, just a really nice vibe and nice people, nice clientele. Food was very nice and they catered for gluten free where they could

  There was a loud vent next to the window but it did turn off at 9pm as promised, so can't complain too much! Shower pressure not great, but don't want to detract from a lovely stay

  The Cottage is owned and run by the most lovely people. Room was brilliant, with Molten Brown in the bathroom, really comfortabe bed etc. Continental breakfast was really good. Will definitely stay again.

  Nice entrance, - but then it all stopped!

  Breakfast: Significant waiting time.Empty for plates, spoons, forks, knifes, Coffee, bread, Milk, All in 1 and every day. Room: Sink non funktionalitet. Sevage smell. No service provided. Bar: They simple let us wait 20 min./forgot us. Although there were 2 servants and only 6 persons in the bar area.

  Arrived and no cot despite ordering on our booking, we ordered drink at bar it was flat, advised them, they took ages to change, and we had to leave as run out of time, and then they tried to charge for the flat drink that we complained about despite it being left on the bar where they were serving, Area in liunge/dining area dirty, tables sticky (this was about 4/430), carpet dirty. Not impressed by mos, he blamed booking.com for error in the room,with the cot, they put us in a room directly behind reception with a 1yr old baby, prob the busiest noisiest place in hotel and same mos was a bit confrontational about not paying fir the flat drink we left after complaining about it and not getting any other drinks for the group due to them fussing around changing the pump

  I actually found our reception on arrival quite stressful. There was not one single space available to park our car. There was nobody at reception to receive us and do the check in, and a guest at the pub next-door had to go and try and find a member of staff - who was also serving as a waiter in the restaurant due to (lack of staff?) When we finally went to our room there was no hand soap to wash my hands with after a long journey ( I'm not talking about shower gel - it's not the same thing.) There was no mini fridge in the room to keep our water cool. It was 26 degrees that day.
