The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.
2
When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

1: It's location, easy walk to the King's Mile and other attractions. 2: The host! She was so friendly, generous, and helpful, and I was able to resolve any issue we had immediately. 3: The thoughtful provisioning of our accommodation, even down to umbrellas if the need arose. 4: The courtyard, backing onto the river. It is a perfect spot for a peaceful stay. Think of a large mobile home on land, with a picturesque and unique setting and the nicest host you could imagine, and there you have Riverside Cottage.

The bed was too small for our needs, but we were able to set up the couch pull out bed. If we were younger and slimmer, it might have been fun!

Absolutely wonderful property. Best place I’ve stayed in from Booking.com. Super comfortable bed, lovely, extremely well equipped kitchen, helpful hosts, great local information provided. Everything really considerately provided. And amazing views, fresh eggs, wonderful walk with caves and stone circles. We had the most comfortable, relaxing break here. 10/10. Thanks!

Location was excellent, 10 min easy walk from train station. Evening meal & breakfast were great. Attentive, friendly staff.

Whilst the room itself was clean, the previous guests towel was still there, obviously missed by the cleaners. When brought to the attention of the staff, it was removed, naturally. Small, awkward shower. I had a room on the second floor, which was facing the street. I booked knowing it was a popular place so expected it to be a bit noisy. However, it was beyond a bit noisy, fast cars screeching late at night, the noise from the patrons was unbelievable. It helped only slightly when I closed the window, accessible only when I climbed on a chair (I’m not so short at 5’ 4”) but then the room was warm as there is no air con. 1/2 a sleeping pill, and donning noise cancelling headphones, allowed me to get a few hrs sleep. I had booked 3 nights, but left after 1. All this I know, sounds like a first world problem, and it is. However, after many, many years of travels, this is the first time I’ve left accommodation that I’d booked and fully paid for.

We thought the property was in desperate need of a refurbishment. The place was very dark with dusty old carpets. Our room was quite a way from reception & access was via many stairs.

There was no toilet roll in our room. The smell throughout the hotel wasn’t great. The shower didn’t work

Room was noisy, no air con - just a small fan. Breakfast - hot items were cold and cheap, tasteless, coffee was ok.
