Positive section of review
Large room, comfortable bed & good bathroom. I stayed for work so wasn't in the room much, other than to sleep. Its set up like flats, which was slightly confusing, but the room was secure & other guests quiet, meaning it wasn't a problem.

My room over looked the market place, where the stall holders were setting up early (about 4.30am), however I probably only noticed as i had the window open.

The room was a good size. The check in staff acknowledged my other Half's birthday as requested which he appreciated, however they said this would be on a board for arrival so was disappointing to see that it wasn't.

The rooms were dated and for a four star the amenities provided were poor. Only one shower cap to two, only one sanitary bag and the bins weren't lined in the bathroom which seemed unhygienic. The shower gel was attached to the wall, I understand plastic waste is being reduced but at that price tag I expect separate shampoo, shower gel & conditioner. Not a 5 in 1. It's no frills and is basic. The hotel as a whole is in need of some major refurbishment. Everything felt very tired including some of the staff. Breakfast was fine, however, they only offered bulk brew coffee kept warm in an urn. For somewhere of that size and price I would expect a bean to cup machine at the very least. The shower pressure was so weak that it barely got you wet. Check in wasnt the best. We arrived at 1.30 to be told we absolutely could not check in till 3 even if the room was ready, however they then proceeded to check in a large school trip. So seemed a bit double standard. There was an overall lack of care around the place and was absolutely not worth the price tag. I followed up the stay with a complaint email which went ignored until I followed this up for an acknowledgement over a week later. There was no resolve to this just a "thanks". At the state it currently is in. I would not return or recommend it with the exception of the location.

I found the hotel to be comfortable with friendly and helpful staff to greet and assist us during the length of our stay. I cannot fault the hotel for the reasons stated above.

Both my colleague and I were woken up ion the early hours by the TV switching itself on and showing the welcome screen which wasn't great. I also found the that the food options only providing Halal prepared meat was not good at all. I don't think that it should be the only form of meat that is served. As I saw a very diverse range of ethnicity during my stay I would request that the hotel re think their polices on the choices of meat preparation.

Property location was in a perfect location and parking was easily accessible. The room was also reasonably clean.

So first of all, the room looks nothing like what it shows on booking.com. You’ll be better off bringing a sleeping bag and sleeping on the floor due to the rock solid mattress that have probably never been changed. The main negative of mine and my girlfriend’s stay was the high level of loud music down stairs blaring into the early hours of the morning and the jumbo jet like sounds that seem to go on within the hotel at night time. I am unsure of what they were from. However the hotel were generous enough to supply construction rated foam ear plugs which did not work at all. We had a restless night and will more than likely never stay here again.
