The staff were fantastic, had a great welcome and everything to do with my stay was clearly explained to me. They could not have been more helpful. My room was comfortable, clean and tidy. I had to check out early on Saturday as I was competing in a local event and the staff made the process extremely easy.

I often stay here with work and love the facilities that are on offer. Free use of pool, sauna, steam room and gym, which is pretty good! Rooms are clean, but pretty basic and the overall building could do with a renovation.

Two things let this hotel down. The food is very pricy and the rooms are very dated. I paid nearly £30 for a lasagne and a drink. They charged me an extra £6 for a salad which consisted lettuce, croutons and a sauce which wouldn’t have filled a 5yr old. The whole menu is over priced, which is a real shame. The lobby area looks recently renovated, but the corridors to the rooms and rooms themselves are very dated. Could just do with a some attention.

Where to start. Evening meal cheese board unedible plus we could hear arguments from the kitchen. I was talking to my husband about the cheese board and that this was poor for high end establishment lady on thet next table disagreed very sarcastically with her friend. After some research I found out it was the owners partner.. So why didn't she go through to kitchen to stop arguments that guests could here or indeed give a little customer care to me. She is ideal for Fawlty Towers ! Breakfast waited 30 minutes for the initial course breakfast tray after asking twice where it was. When it came the main course hardly cooked breakfast arrived at the same time so we ate our fruit etc after the hot breakfast again we could hear arguments from the kitchen. The hotel is up for sale so not sure if this is reflected in the current service.

Nil atmosphere, asked for conditioner every day for four days and no one came to fix/give me any. No enthusiasm for customer service at reception.
