A really nice Hotel that was immaculate. We had a quaint room and the staff were really friendly and helpful. It felt like stepping back in time with the way the hotel was decorated and furnished.

Really nice place, very puturesque views , love the deking area, we went to the gig in Halifax piece hall then sat having a nitecap wine on the decking, will definitely book again

The property is very handy for The Piece Hall, about a 10-15 minute walk away. The food at the venue has a good reputation.

The bathroom was very small, the toilet seat kept shifting when you sat on it and the sanilav system was extremely noisy. I could not bend over the wash basin without burning myself on the radiator behind and it was difficult to access the shower because everything was so cramped. The pillows on the bed need updating. The size of the kettle is too big to fill it in the small basin in the bathroom.

The fact the swimming pool + gym shut early as we had booked in at 7 didn’t have enough time for a decent swim , maybe have some complimentary shampoo and conditioner in the showers too as it’s commonly forgotten,could also do with YouTube or Netflix on the tv as it’s only very old to programs

On the third floor you can hear the floor creaking, and besides, someone there is constantly walking from one corner of the room to another. It prevented me from falling asleep and prevented me from sleeping in the morning

Loose tap in kitchen, electrical socket hanging off the wall in the bedroom that had a lamp plugged into it. Cleaners need to clean under the rim of the toilet as black marks visible as soon as you look at the toilet. Screws hanging out of hallway door knob. Carpet looked very dirty..

The prices are okay and the food was good. The rooms were all very clean.

There were some things about the room that seemed better in the pictures, but for the price it was okay. Staff was polite but not very friendly and gave us wrong directions about the surroundings.
