Hosts were very nice and accommodating. Food was fresh and tasty. Location was perfect for the activity that I was undertaking for the week. Room was comfortable, quiet and clean and it was very helpful having my own cooking facilities.

Location close to the centre of Lyme and easy walk in along the river. The sofa bed that I was sleeping on was very simple to set-up and comfortable. It did us proud.

There was a weird window into the corridor at the bottom of the bed and the blind left gaps so people walking past could see in, fixed by placing a pillow against it though! Had trouble with the keypad door on return at nightime, called the out of hours number and they let us in so that was good.

The staff member who took over at about 10pm on Saturday night seemed to do his best to annoy me into going to bed. Dropping extremely unsubtle hints like closing the blinds, switching off the music and trying to ignore me when I wanted to buy another drink

Location, location, location. It is (of course) not close to the airport, and the bus link was infrequent at night, and the desk staff pretty unhelpful about the early options, both at night and in the morning. In the end a staff member rescued the position. But pretty stressful.

There was quite a long wait to check in, was allocated room 006 on the lower ground floor. Was greeted to plastic covered carpets outside the lifts on the lower level. We arrived around 2300 hrs took our luggage to the room, and went to the bar for a quick drink after travelling for hours. Spoke with two members of staff by the lifts and I asked if we had been assigned the cheap rooms? They replied not at all. When we got ready for bed, completely exhausted. The floor boards were overly squeaky. Even when you laid in bed they squeaked, try to turn the tv on remote didn’t work. Then at 0500 was woken by loud banging noise from the building site, directly outside our window. So what with the squeaky floor boards the building works did not get much sleep. Went to breakfast early was mainly vegan. Which was pretty tasteless. Asked if there was any alternative, and told no not today, sorry. This was meant to be a nice relaxing stay after our beautiful holiday. It was far from that. We checked out as soon as we finished breakfast. Explained the situation this the room. And was told they were under going renovations. Not at anytime was we notified of the renovations nor the building works next door. My main issue if the Hampton by Hilton at Gatwick new about these issues. Why was we allocated this room? I emailed guest relations on 16/05/24 called 3 times as no response, today I got though to someone in reservations, who asked me to forward the original email to them. Which I did. And got a sorry email. Not what I expected at all. After have to chance then from the 17/05/24 for a respond. So unprofessional.

Booked 4 nights im terminally ill after 1 night we had to leave due to become poorly I emailed book booking.com and the hotel asking if they would take into account how poorly i am and asked for a 2 day refund but both declined my wishes so wont be booking again through both 😡😡😡😡😡😡
