Positive section of review
The proximity to the centre of York made it the perfect base. It is compact and bijou, but had everything you need for a short city break. A big thank you for accomodating our slightly early arrival rrquest. We really appreciated that. The flat was welcoming, clean and tidy.

The TV instructions didn't particularly help us oldies. There is no menu button that we could see, but we eventually found live tv and particularly radio 2 by selecting digital tv. Just a suggestion with the directions, as there is not a number 2 on the front door and the restaurant is cloded down, if you tell people to 'turn left from Merchantgate into Walmgate and then immediately park up to unload on the left which is 'opposite the black door' would have helped us to identify the flat quicker. We didn't see the restaurant name painted on the side walls from the car level and drove round a couple of times before working out where it was

The location is excellent for me, easy access to City and family. I like the industrial feel of the property, it’s open and accessible. The rooms may not have everything you want but they have everything you need. Friendly staff and considerate.

I’m not sure if didn’t like is to strong but maybe in need of some attention in certain areas. Decor etc but it’s all opinion.

Access to rooms complicated by a maze of narrow corridors and using fire doors. No drinking water bottles in the room. Has to be collected at the reception given on personal request. No cooler facilities in the room to store any milk and other items. An extra charge of £6.00 made for simply parking the car within the premises in the open!
