Great location, very new and modern hotel and very welcoming. Breakfast buffet was great with all you would expect. The manager was very helpful in dealing with an issue. The bar area is really comfortable and well run. The staff are wonderful and are amazingly friendly and helpful and a credit to the company.

I travelled with 6 other friends for a reunion.On arrival we were informed that the air con was broken so fans were provided. Mine was broken on arrival so I had to call reception and it was replaced without fuss. The floor of the corridor to my room was plastic covered due to ongoing work with yellow barriers against the wall which kind of detracts from the air of chic elegance the hotel is trying to achieve. The window was open to cool the room but it overlooked the bus station so you had the choice of hot or noisy. On the first morning I had to go to reception to deal with an issue because the 4 rooms were listed on Booking.com as a no show with a penalty charge. I reported this to Booking.com and shortly after, it showed as cancelled even though I had already paid for the rooms. While my friends had breakfast, I spent 10 minutes at reception with the manager sorting out the problem. After all this, the wonky toilet seat in the room seemed inconsequential, so I didn't even bother reporting it. Such a shame as it's a lovely hotel, but the staff seem to be firefighting issues all the time because of serious understaffing. Well done to the manager and staff who made the stay enjoyable by dealing constantly and efficiently with the problems as they arose.

The freedom to be able to access the key using the keysafe and enter and exit at free will. The young man always on hand if we needed anything. He was very pleasant. Location: bus stop just outside with buses running very regularly.

Rooms are dated and need modernisation, the bar was closing early as their was a party in the function room, bed was uncomfortable and there was lots of noise from the room above due to very creaky floorboards. Breakfast - attended at 8.30 so not the end of service, barely anything was re-stocked, husband asked for a glass, was met with a very surly response from the waitress. Tables were covered in the previous diners plates etc and no effort made to remove them. The cooked food was luke warm, undercooked and looked very unappealing. Only two members of staff were around that we could see and both looked very unhappy and annoyed that they were having to restock and tidy. Such a shame as this place has potential to be a very good business.
