The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

Location good for us as we used to live near Alton and were back visiting friends so decided to stay in The Swan as we had visited many times in the past albeit only for a drink or food. Room was very big with decent bathroom and amenities. Bed OK although very squeaky!

We decided to eat in the restaurant and wished we hadn't. I had the bangers and mash even though I'd had this once before a few years ago and yet again it was swamped in gravy and sausages under cooked. My Wife had the rump steak which was basically inedible. Upon complaining, the manager gave us a 20% discount which softened the disappointment. Although we had paid for breakfast, we didn't want to take the chance so decided to eat in Wetherspoons which is a 5 minute walk away.

The FREE stock of little treats in the mini bar! A lovely bonus! Well-designed room with everything where it should be for convenience. The bathroom was absolutely spotless and a dream design-wise too.

Pillows were lovely feather ones but not very supportive, bit it was really hard trying to find something we didn't love!

Check in staff were friendly and helpful. Surroundings are lovely and the location near the dock is nice, while still being walking distance to city centre.

Room was small for a deluxe room, and they didn't provide the extra bed requested. No fridge in room. Food in the restaurant wasn't great and very overpriced.

Nice location, close to the seafront and many facilities such as shops, Blackpool tower etc with the close access to tram stop.

The room we were provided was not suitable, we made contact to see whether we could have an alternative room but without any response from the property which resulted in us checking out early. The double which was a bunk bed style, metal with springs is the noisiest bed we have had and uncomfortable, due to it being broken it also had boards between frame and mattress, bunk beds was not suitable for us adults, bad night sleep and we tried a second night to see whether it would be any easier but sadly not hence checking out a day early. The overall property is perfectly functional but could do with a bit of repainting and freshen up.

Good location just off the motorway and very easy access to Newcastle

Building was tired and run down looking, rooms were small and there was a big lack of plug sockets for charging phones etc

Location

Like student accommodation. Very basic and perhaps banking on people staying one night for flights.
