Lovely room with en-suite, very spacious , clean and comfortable . Lots of tea, coffee, biscuits and fresh milk provided . The bed was really comfortable with gorgeous fresh white bedding. The shower was great with shower wash provided. Frankie was easy to communicate with and very friendly. We had room 2 which had an outdoor seating area and a garden, we sat outside with our morning cup of tea, fantastic. Location was brilliant too, couple minutes walk to the town centre and there was ample free parking at the property.

The room was lovely with its own garden area and plenty of character with 4 poster bed. Breakfast and dinner [Fish & Chips and Lamb's liver] were both excellent. The bar area was really nice and would be great in winter with a log fire.

Lack of onsite parking can be an issue although we were fortunate and obtained a space right outside the front door. We had a problem with my credit card which was due to expire at the end of the month. Resolved by using another card although the original card was successfully used elsewhere.

The bar and restaurant. Power shower was good and comfortable bed. Close to start line for etape caledonia.

Had to draw thick curtains for privacy in an already warm room. Power shower was good, but had to use a towel to switch it off. No signal for TV and no fridge.

Lodge was a good size for 4 but looking a little tired in places - especially bathroom and bedrooms.

Tiredness as it wasn’t that cheap to stay there. There appeared to be a number if digs wandering free and pooing on communal grassed areas!!

We were on the 2nd floor and our neighbours directly above were very heavy footed and noisy, not something the hotel can be held responsible for but did affect our sleep a little

Still only got a tiny TV in the bedroom. A 32 inch on the wall opposite thd bed would be ideal. Thats the only minor fault I can fing, sorry Larry, I know its Linda who wont budge on this, but for folks like us who stay in of an evening it would be a lot more enjoyable

Parking wasn’t as advertised- all permit parking(£35 fine). Living room- too much furniture. No tvs in any room. Advertised as free Wi-Fi throughout the property-NONE. Wasn’t advised of property number in booking and code emailed on form was wrong. Owner slow to respond- was in street for a while before got instructions. Bathroom is on ground floor, stairs to bedrooms are extremely steep so wouldn’t be good for mobility issues/kids. Open yoghurt left in fridge and free toiletries were obviously half bottles of shampoo/ shower gel left.
