How does it work?

    It starts with a booking

    It starts with a booking

The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

  • 2

    Followed by a trip

    Followed by a trip

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

  • And finally, a review

    And finally, a review

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

This place reminded me of students dormitory. The atmosphere there is very friendly. The room was very clean and had sink which you could use in the morning to avoid queues. The showers were also okay with access to the hot water. There were only 4 girls in the room including me and we had lovely chats for hours! So that’s a perfect place to make new friends. The only problem there is a poor breakfast. You can pay 3.50£ and have a small bun, cereals, juice and fruits which look not very good. But there is a kitchen so if you want to have a proper breakfast, better bring your own products and cook for yourself as there is a lack of restaurants or cafes in that area. In general everything was fine and stuff on the reception was very polite.

Lovely hotel, our room no. 17 was enormous, triple aspect with 3 sea views and a bath! Lived the touches of free tea, coffee, biscuits & toiletries. All very fresh & clean! Excellent restaurant downstairs, we stayed B&B & the breakfast was outstanding & tasty. They have a great choice and are very helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Only 1 little thing the bed could do with a 1 inch memory foam topper so you don't feel the springs. Otherwise everything else was first class! Thanks for lovely stay!

Very comfortable bed with an access to sockets and lights. Despite the people around, you feel comfortable as you have enough space in your ‘capsule’. The showers and toilets were clean. The location is perfect, there are lots of cafes around where you can have a traditional breakfast. I would definitely come back there once I’m in Edinburgh again.

The loud sound of the door when someone opens or closes it during the night. Was very disturbing 😅

Excellent location (very close to an Overground station) and a comfortable, good-sized unit. The kitchen was well-equipped.

The hallways and stairways needed better maintenance. But a good experience otherwise.

The door card readers were broken so you couldn’t freely go out from your room without help. There were 10 people in one tiny room and the beds were not reserved for any guests. So basically, you supposed to choose the one which was free. But obviously, there were no free beds on the 1st or 2nd storey so I used the one on the 3rd one. It is very close to the ceiling so I hit my head 3 times (and I’m not tall). The bed sheets looked very old and I’m not sure that they were changed before my arrival. It was very hot in the room and the mattress was not comfortable at all. The shower was okay, but the toiled had a broken lock. Also, it was impossible to sleep as everyone was talking and laughing very loudly. So I stayed there only for a few hours and just left this place as it was impossible to sleep at all. I would say that it was one of the worst hostels I’ve ever been to.
