Staff who welcomed me when I arrived explained everything thoroughly and when I said I’m autistic she had the perfect balance of leaving me alone/giving me space but being approachable if I needed help. Having a back way to access the rooms so I didn’t have to go through the pub every time was really helpful too! It’s an easy to find location with a decent enough sized car park, so ideal for commuting to where I needed to be in Salford but without the city centre bustle or prices. Everything was clean and well maintained, and while it was definitely about affordable functionality over luxury, I could see the effort to add in extra comforts where possible. I ate at the pub restaurant downstairs one night and I personally didn’t like that environment as it didn’t work for my sensory needs but I do think it’s really useful having that onsite and think it’s a real selling point for most people - convenient, homely, big portions and decent prices.

The room was small and the bed wasn’t the comfiest, but honestly it was still better than I expected - for my purposes it was perfect as just a cheap and functional base to sleep, just don’t expect a really luxurious room to spend a lot of time in. Being above a pub and with a train passing close by it can be a little noisy if you’re wanting an early night, but it wasn’t a big issue and still probably much quieter than places in a city (I’m from a tiny village so not used to any noise really but less rural folks probably wouldn’t notice it much).

Location is good, lovely sea views and room over looked the garden. I was there as we were getting married locally, we had the lovely surprise of a bottle of fizz on return to the room (we had not told the hotel but the photographer was a big clue). Staff were really friendly and helpful trying to get the bridesmaid dresses steamed. Breakfast was tasty and there was plenty of choice and if you wanted to swap something out it was no issue. We were in room 4 which was on the first floor, great as my husband is waiting for knee surgery and could cope with one flight of stairs, my parents and bridesmaids were up a lot further so if you have mobility issues contact the hotel for room advice.

Breakfast service was a bit slow, I think the staff are young and it's early season so plenty of time to improve. Attention to detail on the cleaning is needed, there were cobwebs on the bedroom wall, dust on the door frames and top of headboard. Not the end of the world but a little disappointing.

What a stunning apartment, very tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and very comfortable & cosy. Very well equipped kitchen and bonus having 2 bathrooms!Centrally located with great bars, restaurants and shops on the doorstep. We used the long term car park as we were happy to walk everywhere and the cost was minimal for 3 days.

Staff were great and the place was clean

Wasn’t in a particularly nice area and it was very basic. That said, it is a budget hotel. The unfortunate thing is, when hotels operate dynamic pricing models that push the prices up when events are on locally, you end up paying premium money for budget facilities and value for money is not at its best!

It was in Sunderland?

The boarded up and smashed windows and doors, lack of security and any response to communication. This place felt dangerous and the room allocated was uninhabitable. I even spoke to people who are unfortunate enough to live in this complex. They were excited to move to their new place away from here in 3 days time!
