Firstly the pod is in a scenic, quiet village and has a beautiful view over Loch Shiel. It was neat, tidy and clean, had all the necessities/utilities required for a really enjoyable and comfortable short stay. I had an introduction to the pod and the local area from the owner which was very helpful. Due to the unbelievably good weather I spent more time out of the pod than in it but I would've been happy enough to sit back and relax in it if the weather hadn't been so good. I couldn't really fault anything about it. Would gladly return.

The midges!

The hosts were the kindest, very supportive and patient. The location was perfect since we were driving and we could leave the car there avoiding all the traffic jam getting close to the city and just walk. The city center is maximum 15 minutes walk.

Nothing I didn’t like

Pretty convenient location close to Victoria station. Everything was okay. Staff was nice and helpful. I didn't have an adapter to charge my phone and they kindly gave me one for my stay. There's free coffee at the reception.

My room was at the ground floor close to the reception and it was very noisy late at night and early in the morning which was very annoying.

The staff were friendly & helpful. The bedroom were large, clean & comfortable. The food was excellent. Plenty of room for the dog, who was allowed in all areas.

The old adage applies, don't judge a book by its cover. The building is very "tired" & could do with money spending on it, but as a Grade 2 listed building this would make it exceedingly expensive. But if you look past the cosmetics it is a very nice, reasonably priced hotel.

The attitude of the staff on the Sunday evening was appalling. They made assumptions (incorrect) about the four of us, before we'd even settled. One is a 73 year old. I am the youngest at 55. Assumptions were made about the group being intoxicated, which it was not. I was accused of wavering on entry. Well, I'm disabled, and have issues with my feet and balance, but wasn't given the opportunity to explain that. They didn't care. They just wanted to close up and not serve us. Awful attitude. And I'm a regular...but won't be anymore. Disgrace.
