Moira’s home was very welcoming, clean, in a great position for us to do our trip to Arran. The room was beautifully clean and comfortable. Moira had added some lovely touches like dressing gowns, notebook & pen, sweets, plenty of treats and handiworks, cotton buds, toiletries and these made our stay special so thank you Moira. We will be back to stay again in the future.

Breakfast is served to your room in a hamper which is excellent. Cereal, meat, cheese and breads as well as fruit juice and coffee. Yummy. It is so easy to walk anywhere from the hotel and all the shops and many colleges are right on the doorstep.

No lift but at least the staff were very obliging helping us with our cases. St Michael’s Road is part of the Oxford Zero Emissions location so taxis have to pay a fee to pick up there. There are no Ubers in Oxford but that is the same for every Hotel!

My room was very hot with no fresh air, every time I turned the air conditioning down with in half an hour it would automatically reset its self to 24 degrees Celsius. (I think they programmed it to stay in that temp). No fresh air at all in the room with no windows that can open. Bar staff in the restaurant service was also not great.

A very inconvenient location; a drunk woman singing loudly on the steps when I arrived. Unfortunately, she was in the bed underneath me and I had to listen to her loudly on the phone INCESSANTLY, non-stop, which I complained to staff about and was completely ignored. The staff then blamed me for not using their watts app number rather than booking for coms messaging system, although that’s what the messaging system is for. The room for 6 was the size of your standard kitchen wall-in cupboard so the window had to be kept open. When I arrived the room was full of flies. I purchased a towel for £3.50 which was grey and hard and stored in a crusty old open basket in the reception area that had clearly been rummaged through. Toilets were filthy. Didn’t have a shower in the end due to the threatening woman and the state of the shower-room and toilet floors - wet, liquid soap and loo paper scattered all over. A shocking experience.
