  The history, the stunning grounds it’s located on, it’s very peaceful. The house its self is beautiful and there is a lot of history to take in from this. In the room was a pome on the wall, the rooms are very big and has everything you could possibly require. Receptionist was lovely, polite and very welcoming.

  We had supper and breakfast at the Star Inn. The food was excellent! Especially the breakfast, with its locally sourced sausages and bacon. Very good value!

  The bed was comfortable. The location was excellent for a concert we were attending. The hotel is situated close to the train station.

  There was no water bottles provided in the hotel room and when we drank from the tap, the water tasted very chlorinated so was awful to drink. There was no fresh toilet roll provided. 2 half used rolls which ran out so had to go and get some more. We went to breakfast around 9 and it was very poor and overcooked. The orange juice and tea were the nicest things. When we checked out, we asked reception if they could look after our bags before we caught the train home and were met with raised eyebrows and "how long?" waiving her hand to all the luggage already left.
