  Lovely spacious apartment, very warm, clean and well equipped, with a short cut direct to the Monsal Trail two minutes away. It would be ideal for two couples as two beautiful comfortable bedrooms each with an en suite. A particularly nice reading nook with lovely river views.

  Slightly remote, 25 mins walk to the local pub, which didn’t bother us as we were on a walking break. You could hear the gushing of the river wye all the time which we found delightful, but light sleepers might want to bring ear plugs

  The breakfast was good. Unlike some 5 star hotels the bar stayed open to 2am in the morning. If you park in the Millennium Car Park next door you can have the ticket scanned at reception and the car park then only costs £12.50.

  The ‘annexe’ is a wooden hut in the middle of the hotel car park. The room had a terrible smell (of sewage / drains). It was so bad that I couldn’t stay there. The hotel couldn’t offer alternative accommodation, so I had to find somewhere else for the night at very short notice. The hotel promised a refund, but this hasn’t happened, despite numerous emails and messages.
