Positive section of review
We had cream tea and milk and flowers 💐 on arrival and a greeting written on slate. Sarah met us when we arrived and had given clear directions how to find the Barn. We didn’t use the log burner because the weather improved by the day. Like Crowded House we always take the weather with us. The bike hire place is next door after the picturesque stream. Nice and peaceful in the country and not far from Truro.

There wasn’t an oven or hob but a microwave, so we will bring our air fryer next time. No TV which made us read and listen to music etc. so that we may continue in that vein more at home.

Great location - walking distance to bars and restaurants on the marina - and spacious property with garden and balcony. I was a little nervous having seen some of the reviews but I think people need to bear in mind what they are paying as it represents good value for money. It does need a little bit of TLC and furnishings are a bit sparse but the beds were very comfortable and it was generally clean.

The shower was cold but that may have been us not letting it run for long enough.

Nice apartment with themed decor, the tea set on the kitchen counter was a nice addition. Heating was good, plenty of hot water and loads of room in the car park. Hosts were good communicators, provided detailed instructions.

Nothing really, would have liked the sofa bed to have been set up for us or instructions about where to find linen/ towels etc for our third person.

Property very conveniently located on the Roker seafront and only a short walk down to Seaburn where you have the Stack etc.

I didn’t like the fact that we had scoffolders working outside at 07:30 on a Saturday morning, room was located next to a stair well so could hear people going up/down the stairs at all hours. Room was quite noisy from what sounded like a boiler firing up. You should charge a bit more for your rooms and stop the £50 damage deposit.
