Positive section of review
The location is excellent, a few hundred yards from the beach. The size of the apartment is excellent, larger than expected. We were in an accessible one (that was the only small one on offer, as we booked last-minute for 2 pax). We had a full wetroom and a second separate WC. All the usual equipment one would expect microwave, iron, hairdryer, towels and linen. Good towels and comfortable beds. Red pull cords are fitted to call for help.

The smell! As soon as we entered, we could smell it was musty. The store cupboard in the entrance hall smells. The main bathroom was obnoxious, with black mould around the bottom of the wetroom/ shower. I complained the next morning when reception opened and the lady came in to inspect. I asked for bleach to clean up myself. She agreed that the smell was a problem. She told me the room had been flooded by the previous occupants. She put some liquid in the drain, then came back later to suction it. She told me the black stuff does not come off. They had tried with toothbrushes, etc. After she left, I was able to wipe some off with a bit of kitchen roll. I didn't have any bleach and there is nowhere in Watergate Bay to buy the like. I was very calm and didn't create merry hell, which I regret as nothing else was done. If there is a problem with a unit, IT SHOULD NOT BE SOLD! We booked online literally the day before! We weren't offered an alternative. There were also smaller things like loose table legs, missing light bulbs and missing sections of window blinds (even though we were on the ground floor overlooking the car park), these paled into significance. I gave 5 out of 10 purely for the location. Not impressed by customer service.

We stayed there with my son for four days in September. Very convenient location only 4 minutes on foot from earls court station and in close proximity to major museums such as the Natural History and rhe V&A museum. The room was clean, air conditionned ,with a large window overlooking the Main street which though it was quite busy gave us no trouble sleeping.(3rd floor).I would definitely return.

We were first given a low ground level room which was clean but had a smell and seemed a little claustrophobic but quickly changed us into upper floor when notified about my son's allergies. Bathroom a bit small.

I liked the place it was quiet and very close to the beach and local bars and restaurants it was very homely could've been happy to have it as a permanent home it was that nice and cosy and the hot tube was really warm and on great working order and easy to use and the surroundings wer very peaceful and quiet just a great wee place to stay everything was in working order and easy enough to use

The shower was very weak but it was working and hot water was working so can't complain about that but it was very weak but I was informed it was going to get a revamp so I dare say it will be better when it does receive it but very clean thou

After reading a lot of negative reviews, we were a bit concerned. However everything was great. Comfy beds, big room which was very clean, nice toiletries, great staff and great food.the welcome dram on check-in is a nice touch.

The fact that you have a shower with the door closed as instructed to prevent the fire alarm going off and the gap under the door allows the steam to still come out and set it off as there is no fan in the bathroom, no full length mirror in room, the room door also has a gap at the bottom and you can see shadows of people walking by or just standing there. Creepily. Hot rooms and can't turn off heater. Continental breakfast if you opt for that, overpriced could just go to a tesco and get the stuff yourself and it be better and cheaper. Toaster was broken etc. Can hear everything and everyone while in your room, which means they can hear you. I'm not a fussy person either. If you just need a one night pit stop while moving around seeing the country it's fine and located right beside the train station entrance if you are using public transport, but overpriced for what it is.
