The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.
2
When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.
3
After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

The flat is in a good location to access the town centre and the Tor and other Glastonbury attractions. It is a small space, but sufficient ( just ) if you don’t need to spend a lot of time there ( i.e. all day). The flat is part of a group within a converted house and overall no disturbance from any other residents. It is secure and has very basic needs catered for. You need to bring teacloths, paper kitchen roll and cleaning cloths, as none is provided ( a nightmare if you cook and look around for something to clean up with, this is not advised in advance). Cheap tea coffee sachets are left for you and a few milk single serve portions are in the fridge (which drifts open if you don’t pay attention).

The booking process was fraught with difficulty and you will be passed to an outside agency who will take a high level of personal information from you , passport, selfie? DOB, Phone, address etc etc. The agency Superhog is obviously based outside the UK, and despite protests will persist in taking all the information as described, even though you are advised to complete the booking “verification” process before your date of arrival you will be spammed via text and email persistently after paying until you pass their so-called verification questions. I was advised this was needed to ensure both “Good Guests and Good Hosts” but even after you have partaken of the questionnaire you never see any feedback about the Hosts or yourself? I would have withdrawn from the hire had I known how invasive it would be, however you don’t find this out until after you’ve paid the full fee and which was completely non-refundable. There is also an added charge of £40 ( taken after you’ve gone through the booking cost process) to waive any insurance claim if they find any “broken” items. With no-one seeing you in or out of the premises this is highly suspect . We were sent the incorrect key access code. The flat itself had a dangerous raised floorboard near the kitchen, so be sure to wear shoes inside and don’t walk around barefoot ! The toilet requires a degree of manoeuvrability to get seated onto and has been squashed into the corner of the washing space, so beware if you are a larger person. I am still waiting to see how “Reliable” the hosts are in the Superhog verification process, but I doubt whether I’ll ever find that. Overall I would say, because of the nature of the verification process and lack of any real ‘Landlord’ (it’s just an agency owning properties) I would advise against booking with “Passthekeys “at this venue. Overall I think the drift into automated agencies owning properties for holiday letting is a negative one and does not ensure guests will be cared for.

The property was clean and such a nice comfortable place to stay. Gregg was amazing quick to reply and so great at giving advice and ideas about the area. It was the perfect location for our stay.

I know it’s not expected but whenever I have stayed anywhere else there has been small touches like milk in the fridge.

Despite the name of this hotel ("The Frenchgate Restaurant and Hotel") there is no restaurant and, in fact, it's been closed for a few years. It really is just a bed and breakfast but charging hotel rates. I think a lot of travellers think they can get an evening meal in the hotel, but instead are handed a print out of local places to eat. The website is still advertising a restaurant and you have to click on an announcement to read that the restaurant has been closed. It really is a misrepresentation of the situation. I am a professional woman who was travelling for leisure on my own (walking the coast to coast). When the proprietor showed me the double bed, he said ~"You never know, you might get lucky". Really? In this day and age? He really would be better if he kept this type of inappropriate comment to himself.

The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was nice.

The mattress was thin and hard. The bedding looked like it had a few marks on it. Some of the walls had bits of mould on them and the room was in desperate need of a fresh coat of paint. Student accommodation is nicer and cleaner than this!
Positive section of review
Location, furniture, decoration, cleanliness, staff.
Negative section of review
Poor A/C, and to overcome this issue, they brought portable a/c, which is very noisy, by the way, but it covers the metro noise, at least! Every time the metro passes, you will notice the walls shaking! Only one of the staff at the reception was unprofessional and sarcastic.

We are used to having room 307. This time we got put in another much smaller room but for the same price. I would have liked something similar.
