The room with the roll top bath and the furnishings. The comfy bed. Amazing view in a great restored old building. Nice breakfast. Spa was great. Free parking. Easy to find.

Some of the facilities in the spa didn't work. Stealth pricing for breakfast. Wasn't told not all items on the breakfast menu weren't included. Not enough milk and coffee and only decaffeinated. Only water in the room was sparking. Yuk . TV was difficult to operate.

Superb location - all facilities advertised were available-peaceful location-plenty of space.

'Fatty/greasy' cooking smell on entering the property. This was present for the whole stay. 'brown' stains on the wall either side of the rocking chair. Dirt below the radiators Dirt on the lower shelve of drop leaf table (These areas have not been cleaned in a long time.) Kettle, disgusting limescale ( had to buy our own) Back door paint peeling off. Cobwebs on the back kitchen window and on the outside light. Outside light not working. Backyard fence very dirty and rusted. The property is in need of a maintenance upgrade to justify the price tag also the 'housekeeping' department need replacing very quickly, they clearly are not 'housekeepers'. If it is location you want go for it, if you want a clean well maintain property avoid at all cost.

The shower had no power to it shower cheap only the 1 setting. Very hard for my Wife to wash her hair (long hair )

I was dismayed as a 78 year old to be given the topmost room in the hotel up lots of flights of stairs and had to leave my suitcase up there when I climbed down to ask for a room lower down. My suitcase was then brought down for me. I was also unhappy that in the second room offered to me the handle was not secure and I could not get my key out of the door to lock it when I was inside. I complained about these things twice while I was there but nothing was done to rectify the situation. Fortunately I was only staying for 2 nights. The hotel needs a lift.

Stairs steep. Only one handrail. Only one toilet. Very few ceiling lights worked. Freezer draw couldn’t be opened. Bedroom curtains too thin. Bathroom/toilet had no blind at all! The whole place lacked homeliness. No pictures. Houseplants dead or close. Bedroom on lower floor only had one bedside table. Wardrobe was unusable. No shelves or rails. Just old paint cans. Fan had no cable.
