The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.
2
When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.
3
After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

I have stayed at this property several times. The staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Modern clean rooms, comfortable beds. Clean towels provided also tea & coffee. ( which many properties in Liverpool town centre do not provide) As a female traveler I feel very safe at this establishment. On comparison to other properties the price per night is very reasonable. 2 minute walk from train station and lots of takeaways/ pubs / shops within a 5 minute walk.

Breakfast the first day was ridiculous. Took around 75 mins for one rasher of carbonised bacon, broken in two and one sausage semi carbonised (knife couldn’t cut it) and missing the ordered fried egg.(arrived much later). My wife had to search for her very small piece of smoked haddock. Staff going from table to table replacing drinks as hot drinks cooled. Breakfast day 2 absolutely excellent. Didn’t eat in the evening there. People there of a certain age, including us.

The house rules. No eating your own food in your room, any evidence found the hotel will charge you what they think is a reasonable amount for the food. No tee shirts or shorts allowed in the dining room (luckily we had taken trousers/dress with us). Broken umbrella in room, needed day one (staying in stable block away from main house).

The proximity to the heathrow airport was a huge advantage. I did not need a taxi from the airport to the hotel just a throlley plus the advantage of free trains inbetween terminals.

In Ireland breakfast ends by 11am but breakfast ends by 10am and it was hard for me to wake up and be there by 9am but the good thing is that you will still get food till 10.30am

The location was amazing.Looked out over the river and to Kingswear.Close to boat pontoon and shops. Dartside holidays could not have been more helpful

Small things were lacking. They left a teaspoon of washing up liquid.Usually there is salt left and there was nowhere to leave rubbish.Car parking was good apart from it was quarter of mile away.

The cooked breakfast was just ok and the buffet style choices ok The shower had poor pressure

Breakfast The extraordinarily long walk to the room carrying luggage up and down stairs . If it wasn’t for Hattie offering to assist us when we arrived it would have been a struggle . I also thought covering up the glorious stained glass windows in the restaurant with pelmets was disappointing and detracted from the heritage of the building .

Our friends paid more and were squeezed into a box room which should be a single room.
