The location was great. So handy for the buses - £7 return to Bath for 2 people with a stop almost outside the front door. Batheaston was very pleasant too - great fish and chips at the local and a lovely breakfast at Gather. The cottage was quirky, compact and bijou but with everything we needed for our stay. I found the bed really comfortable - my other half found it a bit too soft (he would be happy on floorboards!). The back courtyard was spacious, very nice to sit outside in the sun. And we were visited by next doors cats who mainly kept their distance - but they were gorgeous.

One issue was getting to the loo in the night. We slept on the top floor but it meant quite a trek to the bathroom. Just meant that the cottage was quaint though. It wouldn’t put me off returning.

Compact room but spotless. Great value for money. Although we didn't use it, it's great to have the option of early check in/late check out.Would def recommend.

The only downside is the fact it is located at the bottom of a steep hill which leads you to town centre. Could be a struggle with anyone with mobility issues. The bed in the room was very firm which I didn't like but my husband did but that's just personal preference

The location was very convenient as it was very close to Victoria Station.

Room was appalling and dirty and was very obviously not clean when we walked in. We found blood stains on the sheets, towels with blood on the floor, rubbish wasn't emptied, and used sanitary pads on the floor. We also found pills peaking out from under the bed before we left which was concerning. Reported to receptionist who admittedly did seem shocked and the cleaner came to clean it stating "she forgot to clean the room". Our room was a double, which was actually 2 single beds pushed together. Those beds were on wheels and therefore were constantly moving apart from each other, but that was the least of our concerns. My partner and I luckily had an alternative availabile to us and we left after a night instead of staying for the original 4 nights. Absolutely disgusting.

The house had a terrible stench throughout that smelled like blocked drains. It was exceptionally unpleasant. After some investigation it turned out to be the drip tray in the fridge that was blocked and mouldy. We removed and cleaned it several times with bleach but shouldn’t have had to do that as whoever cleans the house must have smelled it. N
