Staff were very friendly and welcoming especially Ange and Julie in the Olive Tree Restaurant. The hotel is perfectly located for easy access to the International Centre. The hotel has an impressive car parking facility.

The location was excellent a two minute walk to shops bars and restaurants. The harbour only a ten minute stroll way. The apartment is spacious and has a lovely bathroom. Communication with the owners was good.

The sofas were very uncomfortable which would have been a bigger problem had the weather been bad. As mentioned in other reviews the towels were poor quality and the pillows flat. Parking on the street could be a problem in peak season.

My room was upgraded to a 4 poster suite which was large and comfortable. The room was in great condition and impeccably clean. The value for money was excellent.

Lovely period building with nice bustling bar and restaurant area. Front of house areas felt upmarket, unlike rooms.

Our room was filthy - genuinely every surface was very dusty. We stayed two nights and I wrote the feedback card and left it out for them to resolve, stating how unhappy we were with the cleanliness of the room. When we came back the card was gone but no additional cleaning had been done, and nobody came to speak to us. I didn’t want to open the blinds as they were so thick with dust. There were also hairs in and around the bath. The room was very dated, with stained desk chair and very old television etc. No fridge or minibar. I would not stay again considering the cost of the accommodation vs what else is available. We attended a wedding and other guests had stayed at the Premier Inn a 5 min walk away, which offered a cleaner, more modern room at almost half the price, with breakfast included. Stay there and come to the Angel for a drink in the bar or dinner in the restaurant perhaps. But definitely don’t stay. Overall it felt like the people in charge had clearly not recently stayed in their own rooms.
